FITS Center Batad
HISTORY
Batad FITS Center was launched last October 12, 2006 making it the 14th FITS
Center in the province of Iloilo and 22nd in Western Visayas, with Batad LGU and
NIPSC Batad Campus as its host agencies. This is another
milestone in the technology transfer of PCARRD-DOST and WESVARRDEC,
with base agency at University of the Philippines
Visayas. It serves as a one-stop facility nearest to the majority of farmers,
entrepreneurs, non-working housewives and other clients in a given
area. It provides fast access to information, livelihoodsand technologies in
forms appropriate to the clients' needs.
